About me

I am a freelance photographer based in Chorlton, South Manchester, UK. Photographically, I shoot unique and meaningful wedding images, I create successful music and event promotional photographs and I have a thriving exhibition practice. I have a considered approach to my work developed over 5 years of study (BA first-class honours & MA Photography) and 6 years of working as a freelance.

I understand that there is more to making photographs than the technicalities of operating a nice big camera. Great images are products of real moments and those moments sometimes need propagating in the right way for the camera. As a photographer I am the middle man between the subject and the final image, therefore being socially aware and having a amiable personality are equally important tools as my nice big camera.

Weddings

I offer a professional wedding photography service creating beautiful images that creatively capture your wedding. I make unique and engaging photographs that tell the story of the day through natural moments and portraits. I am discreet and will never ‘take over’ your wedding, although I will organise people efficiently when needed.

Music

I produce creative images of bands, live music, theatre performances and club nights. I use natural light and/or off-camera strobes to create high quality stylised photographs. I am also able to shoot discreetly in low-light situations when flash is not acceptable. I am skilled in Adobe Photoshop and can edit images to a pre-determined brief or will happily take a creative lead in the style of the images if you wish.

Events

I produce fun and lively party pictures, shoot unobtrusively at conferences, create engaging event photographs and creatively realise promotional images. All my work is shot on high-end professional Nikon equipment and supplied as edited digital files on disc optimised for print and duplicates optimised for the web/e-mail.
